The Starfish Project began in 2012 in an effort to address the evolving addiction crisis in Richland County. We understand that recovery isn’t just about quitting drugs or alcohol—recovery is about reclaiming lives, restoring hope, and celebrating freedom! To do this, we help people find professional help, social support, and practical resources they need to achieve recovery.

The Starfish Project is a nonprofit organization founded by community members and pastors who want to see people overcome life-controlling problems and be set free from addiction. Our team of certified peer supporters are faith-based and have lived experience navigating the struggles of addiction that can affect people of all walks of life.
